Professional development programme launched for principals of local schools

Ministry of Education has launched a professional development programme for principals of local schools.

The education ministry revealed the digital training courses are conducted in collaboration with Guide Education of the UK. As such, the ministry said the courses are to be taught by experts from Guide Education.

Speaking at the ceremony held to inaugurate the programme, Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali said this is an important opportunity for local school principals, noting they will get to choose the areas where training is needed the most under this programme. She added the government will work on increasing the frequency of such programmes in the future.
