Ministry of Health has issued an announcement seeking staff to work in the nationwide COVID-19 vaccine booster campaign.
As per the announcement, the health ministry is seeking 56 staff across 5 roles, including 32 programme assistants, 10 vaccinators, 6 floor managers, 4 support staff and 4 medical officers. Programme assistants, floor managers and support staff will receive USD 485 per month, while vaccinators will receive USD 950 per month. Medical officers will receive a monthly wage of USD 1,570.
Interested applicants are required to submit their documents through the designated Google Form before 1400hrs on January 18. Requirements for each position can be sought through the health ministry.
Under the COVAX Facility of the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Maldives has received 100,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, to be administered as booster shots. However, the booster shots are yet to be rolled out to the public, due to the lack of syringes and other resources.
