MTCC completes development of Nellaidhoo harbour

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed the development of the harbour in Nellaidhoo, Haa Dhaalu Atoll.

Under the project, MTCC carried out the construction of a 204m quay wall, 398m breakwater, 103m groynes and 1,812 sqm pavement area. The project also involved the construction of a ramp and installation of harbour lights. The project, worth USD 3.6 million, was completed on December 30.

The Nellaidhoo harbour development project was contracted to MTCC in April 2020. The aim of the project was to resolve the difficulties faced by local vessels in entering and exiting the island.
