NBAM elects new board for 2022, 2023

National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) has elected the new board for 2022 and 2023.

NBAM elected its new management team and executive board at a ceremony held on December 25. The association has elected the new management team consisting of three members and its executive board consisting of nine members.

In a press release, NBAM noted the achievements and the work done during the past two years following the COVID-19 pandemic, which had nearly crippled the Maldivian boating industry. The association stated it is now stronger than ever due to hard work, patience, and strategic thinking, with increased membership numbers, despite the difficulties faced due to the pandemic. It also highlighted the successful conclusion of the largest Marine Expo held in the Maldives, with over 60 exhibitors.

Furthermore, NBAM stated it launched the nationwide safety awareness campaign called Life Jacket Wear It, and also conducted many other activities in regard to the development, promotion, and human resource development of the industry. The association thanked those who have supported the industry and aided in developing tourism in the Maldives, and also congratulated the new board and wished them success.
