Ministry of Education has awarded the contract to develop a new 3-storey building for Noonu Atoll School in Manadhoo, Noonu Atoll.
The contract to develop the new building of Noonu Atoll School was awarded to Mims Construction Private Limited. The project was contracted to Mims Construction at a price of approximately USD 1 million. The duration of the project is 360 days.
Furthermore, the education ministry has awarded the contract to develop 12 new classrooms in Kumundhoo School in Haa Dhaalu Atoll to Wavelength Private Limited. The project, worth about USD 776,000, is expected to be completed within one year.
In addition, the education ministry has also awarded the project to develop 15 new classrooms in Funadhoo School in Shaviyani Atoll to Swift Engineering Private Limited. The project, worth approximately USD 1 million, is expected to be completed in 360 days.
The government is undertaking several projects in the education sector to expand the capacity of schools across the country.
