Arabiyya School students to be transferred to MTCC Sawmill building

Ministry of Education has decided to transfer students of Arabiyya School to the MTCC Sawmill building, which had temporarily housed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The building is currently being renovated to accommodate the staff and students.

The education ministry has not yet officially announced the decision to transfer the Arabiyya School students. The decision was made following complaints from parents who expressed concern over the safety of students attending Arabiyya School due to signs of wear and tear found at the premises, including large structural cracks on the building.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had met with members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Arabiyya School to discuss the issue. During the meeting, President Solih announced the decision to construct a new building for Arabiyya School in the land plot of old Jamaluddin School in Male' City.

Furthermore, the education ministry stated a structural assessment is being conducted at the school and that the recommendations from the assessment report will be implemented to solve any issues found in the premises.

Arabiyya is an Arabic medium school in Male' City that teaches almost all the subjects in the Arabic language.
