Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has revealed Turkish Airlines has increased its flights to the Maldives.
The national flag carrier airline of Turkey is now operating 11 flights per week to the Maldives from the Istanbul Airport. Previously, the airline operated seven flights per week to the Maldives, with one flight per day. Turkish Airlines has now expanded its schedule for the winter season by operating an additional flight to the Maldives on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
The statistics from the Ministry of Tourism show Turkish Airlines carries the seventh-highest number of passengers to the Maldives. The statistics show Turkish Airlines carried 56,712 passengers to the Maldives so far this month.
Currently, the Maldives is experiencing its high season for tourism which has resulted in more flights to the country.
