Ilm Institute to lead courses on Quranic studies

The National Centre for the Holy Quran has signed an agreement with the Ilm Institute for Islamic Studies to collaborate on courses related to Quranic studies.

The agreement was signed by Minister of State for Islamic Affairs Ilyas Jamal, who is the official in-charge of the National Centre for the Holy Quran, and the Assistant Director General of Ilm Institute Ali Ahsan. The National Centre for the Holy Quran said the agreement will enable Ilm Institute to lead the centre’s courses on certificate level and diploma level courses in Qirat. The centre said the courses by Ilm Institute will begin in January.

Ilm Institute is a local academic institute working to promote and develop studies related to the Holy Quran. The institute has recently launched a programme to train 100 Huffaz in the Maldives.
