Male' City Council launches strategic action plan

Male' City Council has launched its strategic action plan detailing the mandate of the council.

The strategic action plan was launched in a ceremony held to celebrate the first six months of the 4th term of council. The strategic action plan was launched by Mohamed Zahir who served the government in numerous sectors for several decades.

Furthermore, Male' City Council was also re-branded at the ceremony. In this regard, the city council media, new logo, flag, song, and employee uniform of the council were launched.

Moreover, the land use plan for Male' city was unveiled and opportunities to submit complaints have been opened for the next seven days.

Under the plan, Rihijehi Koshi and artificial beach will be further developed by the council. The strategic action plan also details plans to redevelop the flats in Sinamale' 1 and 2 and lease the land plot near the stadium area for housing construction for residents of Male'.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Mayor of Male' City Council Dr. Mohamed Muizzu stated the biggest issue faced in the capital city is housing problems, adding the council will extend its full support to the efforts of the government to resolve the issue.
