US-Bangla Airlines has commenced operations to the Maldives.
The private Bangladeshi airline commenced flight operations to the Maldives on November 19. The airline will operate flights from Dhaka, Bangladesh to the Maldives. US Bangla is scheduled to operate three weekly flights, on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The airline commenced flight operations to the Maldives to cater to the needs of Bangladeshi tourists arriving in the Maldives. The commencement of flights will facilitate Bangladeshi tourists to travel to the Maldives at affordable prices, according to the airline.
Noting the Maldives is also home to a large number of Bangladeshi workers, the airline noted the operation of direct flights to the Maldives will make it easier for Maldivians residing in Bangladesh as well.
US-Bangla currently has 14 aircraft, including four Boeing 737-800s and seven ATR 72-600s.
The airline will add two more Boeing planes to its fleet as it plans to launch Dhaka-Colombo-Male' flights.
