MMPRC begins marketing campaign with TUI targeting Austrian market

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) begins a campaign with TUI Group targeting the Austrian market. MMPRC revealed the campaign will be held from November 2021 to January 2022.

TUI Group is a multinational travel and tourism company headquartered in Hanover, Germany. It is the largest leisure, travel, and tourism company in the world, and owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships, and retail shops. The group owns five European airlines which is the largest holiday fleet in Europe and several tour operators based in Europe.

MMPRC stated the activities to be held during the campaign include advertising, press releases, newsletters, social media activities, trade communications with dedicated emails distributed to the partners and clientele of TUI Austria.

The advertising and dedicated content will promote the Maldives as a safe haven, emphasising the geographical formation of scattered islands that offer natural social distancing and the campaign will focus on marketing the Maldivian tourism products, according to MMPRC.

Furthermore, MMPRC said the campaign will support top tour operators in boosting sales to the Maldives, creating destination awareness, and supporting the efforts of tour operators and agents promoting and selling the destination during the peak season.

MMPRC has held a media event targeting the Swiss and Austria and conducted a joint campaign with Connoisseur Circle in order to market the brand and increase arrivals from the market.
