Travellers from the Maldives exempt from quarantine in Thailand

Embassy of Maldives in Bangkok has revealed travellers from the Maldives are no longer required to undergo quarantine upon arrival in Thailand.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand has released an updated list of countries and territories permitted to enter Thailand without quarantine. The updated list includes names of 17 countries including the Maldives. However, travellers from these countries are required to be fully vaccinated and have evidence of pre-flight negative COVID-19 test results.

On October 26, Thailand allowed fully vaccinated travelers from 46 low-risk countries and territories to enter the country without quarantine. The number has now increased to 63 with the addition of India, Taiwan, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Croatia, Indonesia, Kuwait, and the Maldives.

Other countries include Mongolia, Nepal, Oman, Romania, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Luxembourg.
