Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the five winning proposals for the third phase of its Community Fund.
The BML Community Fund is a nationwide campaign to empower individuals to contribute to society through sustainable community projects.
The winning five projects are the installation of solar street lights at Kudarikilu in Baa Atoll, developing an outdoor reading area at Thakandhoo in Haa Alifu Atoll, development of a community picnic area at Felidhoo in Vaavu Atoll, establishing a fish filleting platform at Maalhendhoo in Noonu Atoll and Establishing an ecological park at Molhadhoo in Haa Alifu Atoll.
BML said the main focus of the Community Fund programme is to continue delivering projects that benefit the community, adding it has received a number of quality proposals for the fund, which is a reflection of the commitment of many individuals and non-governmental organisations to the betterment of their community.
BML has financially supported projects across 55 islands since the introduction of the Community Fund.
