Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed an agreement with Islanders Education to develop a private-international school in Hulhumale' Phase 2.

The agreement was signed by the Managing Director of HDC Suhail Ahmed and Executive Director of Islanders Education Ahmed Adhly Rasheed.

Islanders Education is a leading private international educator in the Maldives that operates several private schools in the country. Furthermore, the government is currently engaged in establishing public services in Hulhumale' Phase 2 as residents begin to move in. All four schools will be built with six floors, accommodating 1,200 students, and will teach from grades one to ten.

The education ministry has contracted Rasheed Carpentry and Construction (RCC) Private Limited to construct a school in Hulhumale' Phase 2 within 18 months.
