Colonel Mohamed Ibrahim appointed as Defence Advisor to India

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) appoints Colonel Mohamed Ibrahim as the Defence Advisor to India.

Chief of Defence Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal handed Colonel Ibrahim the letter of appointment at a special ceremony at the MNDF Headquarters. Colonel Ibrahim replaces Colonel Ahmed Thohir, who is expected to return to the Maldives upon completion of his term. Colonel Ibrahim has served in the MNDF for 20 years and has held the positions of Adjutant General and the Commander of the MNDF Central Area.

Furthermore, Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi met Colonel Ibrahim to congratulate him on his new position.

Brigadier General Abdul Matheen, the military secretary, also attended the meeting.
