Maldivian Ambassador to Bahrain presents credentials to the King of Bahrain

The Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Maldives to Bahrain, Mohamed Khaleel, has presented his Letter of Credence to the King of Bahrain, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The Letter of Credence was presented at a ceremony held at Sakhir Palace, on August 25. During the ceremony, His Majesty the King congratulated the ambassador on the commencement of his term, and conveyed greetings and best wishes to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of the Maldives. His Majesty the King also reaffirmed that the Government and the people of Bahrain would do their utmost to support the ambassador during his term.

Following the credentials ceremony, Ambassador Khaleel attended a dinner hosted by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa. Ambassador Khaleel expressed his honour at being appointed the first Non-Resident Ambassador of the Maldives to Bahrain, and reaffirmed commitment to working closely together to enhance the existing ties of cooperation between the two countries.

The ambassador was accompanied to the ceremony by the Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of the Maldives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Badoora Saeed. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, and other senior officials of the Government of Bahrain.
