Qatar Airways has increased the frequency of its scheduled flight operations to the Maldives.
Qatar Airways decided to increase its weekly operations to the Maldives for the summer season, which is expected to increase the tourist activity. As such, the airline has increased the number of weekly flights operated to the Maldives to 4.
Qatar Airways was the first airline to resume flight operations to the Maldives when the country reopened borders on July 15 last year. The airline has operated 974 flights to the Maldives this year, carrying 80,250 passengers.
As per the statistics of the tourism ministry, there are currently 30 airlines operating international flights to the Maldives. This includes 21 airlines operating scheduled flights and 9 airlines operating chartered flights.
