Luke Air has resumed chartered flight operations between the Maldives and Poland.
Luke Air is the new brand of the Blue Panorama Airlines from Italy. The airline resumed chartered flights to the Maldives, in association with Polish tour operator ITAKA and Sun Ocean Maldives.
The first chartered flight from Luke Air arrived in the Maldives from Poland on June 17, with 297 tourists. Luke Air said the chartered flights will continue until April next year, with one flight to be operated every week. The airline is using an Airbus A330 for its operations to the Maldives.
Luke Air, under its former brand Blue Panorama, first operated chartered flights between the Maldives and Poland in 2019. The airline resumed operations to the Maldives in February this year, before suspending it again in May.
The chartered flights from Poland to the Maldives have resumed after Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) launched a tourism promotion campaign targeting the tourist market of Poland. The campaign, which is conducted jointly with the Polish tour operator ITAKA, will include flight promotions, outdoor advertisements and digital marketing activities.
