Aim is to make Apollo flats habitable within the next two years: Housing Minister

Minister of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam has stated the government aims to make the 1,000 flats being constructed by Apollo Holdings Private Limited habitable within the next two years.

Speaking to the press, Housing Minister Aslam stated 20% of the Apollo housing project is expected to be completed by the end of this year. He said the government is targeting the completion of the project and making the units habitable within the next two years.

The 1,000 housing units contracted to Apollo Holdings are part of the 5,000 new housing units pledged by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih during the presidential address of 2021. The housing units contracted to be built by Apollo include 120 council housing units, 220 affordable housing units and 660 mid-range housing units.
