Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has begun the project to develop a water supply system in Henbadhoo, Noonu Atoll.
MWSC stated it is currently working on the construction of the water treatment facility and the main water pipe for the network.
As part of the project, MWSC is tasked with installing two reverse osmosis plants, establishing three water storage tanks, and developing an 83-kilometre main water pipe network. The state-owned utility company stated it will also be placing water metres and connecting households to the network.
MWSC was contracted to complete the project within one year and three months at a cost of USD 2.7 million. Every resident of Henbadhoo will receive fresh and clean water upon completion of the project, stated MWSC.
