Saudia resumes scheduled flights to the Maldives

The national airline of Saudi Arabia, Saudia, has resumed scheduled flights to the Maldives.

Saudia had suspended its operations to the Maldives due to the shutdown of borders amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The airline resumed its operations to the Maldives on May 20.

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) revealed Saudia is scheduled to operate four weekly flights between Riyad and Male’. The airline will be using a wide-body aircraft for its operations to the Maldives.

With the resumption of scheduled flights by Saudia, the number of airlines currently operating to the Maldives has increased to 32. This includes 24 airlines operating scheduled flights and 8 airlines operating chartered flights.
