Speaker Nasheed in stable condition: ADK

ADK Hospital has revealed Speaker of Parliament and former President Mohamed Nasheed is in stable condition, after sustaining injuries in an explosion near his residence in Male’ on May 6.

An explosion took place in Neeloafaru Magu, Male’ while the Parliament Speaker was getting into his car. He was immediately taken to ADK Hospital for treatment.

ADK Hospital revealed Nasheed was brought to the hospital with multiple injuries. The hospital said he is currently being treated by a multi speciality medical team, adding his vitals are currently stable. The hospital stated further updates will be shared soon.
