Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has participated in the Luxury Travel Mart (LTM) 2021 held in Moscow, Russia.
MMPRC stated the LTM, which is the biggest luxury travel fair held in Russia, will be conducted from April 22 to 23 in Moscow. MMPRC said the aim of participating in the fair is to promote the Maldives as a safe travel destination and to maintain the popularity of the Maldives in the Russian tourist market.
MMPRC said the fair will enable tourism service providers to meet with Russian tour operators and share the latest information of the opportunities and services available in the Maldives. The corporation added the fair will also enable the presentation of the “One Island, One Resort” concept which highlights the safety of the Maldives as a tourist destination. The fair will be attended by five-star hotels, resorts as well as tourism investors, tour operators and luxury travel agents.
Russia is an important source market for the Maldivian tourism industry. Russia is currently the second largest source of tourists to the Maldives, with 78,847 tourists visiting the Maldives from Russia so far this year.
