President thanks doctors for their invaluable services amid the COVID-19 pandemic

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has expressed gratitude to all doctors for their invaluable services to the nation amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The President made the remarks in a tweet posted on the occasion of the National Doctors’ Day. In his tweet, the President thanked all doctors for their efforts this past year to manage the COVID-19 response of the country and for everything they do to ensure the health and safety of the public.

National Doctors’ Day is marked in the Maldives on April 18 every year. The aim of marking this day is to acknowledge and appreciate the services of doctors working in the Maldives. There are currently over 600 Maldivian doctors working in the healthcare sector.
