State Trade Organisation (STO) has assured perishable goods will be available at an affordable price throughout the month of Ramadan.
STO said the first stock sold at a lower price for the Ramadan has now been completely sold out, adding new stocks of onions, eggs and potato have been imported and are available from STO Supermart. STO said perishables will be available at affordable prices throughout the holy month.
STO had earlier revealed prices for onions, eggs and potatoes have been reduced ahead of Ramadan. As such, a kilogram of onion is now priced at USD 0.62, a kilogram of potato is priced at USD 0.58 and an egg is priced at USD 0.065. STO revealed an onion sack will be available for USD 12.95, a potato sack will be available for USD 11.98 and a case of egg will be available for USD 17.16 from the STO Supermart Wholesale Centre.
STO said arrangements have now been made at its outlets for customers to check perishable goods before purchasing.
