Ministry of Education has permitted the resumption of nursery and baby nursery classes of preschools in the Greater Male’ Region.
The education ministry stated permission has been issued for the resumption of nursery and baby nursery classes in Male’, Hulhumale’ and Villimale’, upon assessment of the COVID-19 situation in the capital. As such, the ministry stated nursery and baby nursery students can now attend their classes in school.
Over the past one week, Health Protection Agency (HPA) has eased many of the COVID-19 restrictions imposed in the Greater Male’ Region. On March 25, HPA lifted the vehicle curfew imposed in the Male’ area from 1800hrs until 0600hrs. A week later, the movement curfew which had been imposed from 2300hrs to 0430hrs was also lifted.
In addition to lifting the curfew, HPA has permitted cinemas and film theatres to reopen as per HPA guidelines. Meanwhile, universities and colleges have also been permitted to conduct face-to-face classes. Furthermore, HPA has also allowed running tracks to be reopened.
