President appoints Mohamed Fazeen to BroadCom

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Mohamed Fazeen as a member of the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom).

Fazeen was appointed to BroadCom after the Parliament approved his name for the membership position vacated by the resignation of Zeena Zahir last year. After presenting Fazeen with the Letter of Appointment on March 7, President Solih met him and discussed pertinent issues related to the broadcasting sector.

Fazeen, well-established in the field, graduated with a Diploma in Information Technology from Villa College in July 2010. He started his journalism career in March 2012 in Channel News Maldives (CNM) and later served as a Senior Video Journalist at Raajje TV from February 2014. He also has a background in hotel management and operations.

BroadCom is an independent body mandated to govern the Broadcasting Act's implementation.
