Vice President Faisal Naseem has held discussions with stakeholder agencies on improving municipal waste management in Male’ City.
Speaking at the meeting held at the President’s Office on October 7, the vice president highlighted the importance of enhancing the waste collection and disposal services offered by Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO). The stakeholders presented plans to continue uninterrupted services while improving waste collection, and briefed the vice president on the progress of the joint efforts underway by the authorities in alleviating the waste management situation in Male’ City.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Environment Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan, along with senior officials from the ministry. Minister at the President’s Office, Ahmed Naseem, and senior officials from Male’ City Council and WAMCO also attended the meeting.
