STO donates 3,000 safety goggles to MPS

State Trading Organisation (STO) has donated 3,000 safety goggles for frontline officers of Maldives Police Service (MPS).

The donation was handed over to MPS by Managing Director and CEO of STO Hussain Amr. The donation was received by Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed.
STO said the donation includes 3,000 safety goggles, which can be worn along with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The state-owned company said the goggles will enhance the safety of police officers working in the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

STO has also previously donated a PCR machine to the forensic laboratory of MPS, as part of efforts to boost the COVID-19 testing capacity of the Maldives.
