President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has called on the public to adopt active and healthier lifestyles in order to stay safe from heart diseases.
In a tweet posted on the occasion of World Heart Day, President Solih noted the COVID-19 pandemic has slowed down the pace of life, while adding stress and anxiety to our daily experience. He called on the public to stay active and adopt healthier lifestyles to beat heart diseases, while weathering the storm of the pandemic.
World Heart Day is annually marked on September 29 around the world in an effort to raise public awareness about cardiovascular diseases, their prevention and global impact. The World Heart Day is an initiative by the World Heart Federation.
