Number of COVID-19 cases rises to 2,664 in the Maldives

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed the number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives has risen to 2,664.

HPA said 368 individuals are currently undergoing treatment for COVID-19 in the Maldives, including 19 patients who are undergoing treatment at Tree Top Hospital and in the DH11 facility at Dharumavantha Hospital. A total of 2,268 individuals have made full recoveries from COVID-19 in the Maldives, representing a recovery rate of 85%. Meanwhile, the country has recorded 13 deaths from COVID-19, including 7 Maldivians, 4 Bangladeshis and 1 Filipino.

There are currently 97 individuals are currently in quarantine facilities and 330 individuals in isolation facilities across the Maldives.
