Missing expatriates to be reported online

Maldives Immigration has made arrangements for employers to report expatriates whose whereabouts are unknown or who has absconded the employer.

Maldives Immigration said arrangements have been made to report employment visa holders who violate the employment agreement and absconded from employers. Immigration urged employers to report such cases via an email to [email protected]. The authority said employers must submit all required documents in PDF format along with the IM05 form available on its website.

The government has also initiated efforts to repatriate undocumented foreign workers with over 5,000 individuals so far sent back from the Maldives.
