Bar Council requests all law firms to register

Bar Council of the Maldives has requested all law firms in the country to register.

The bar council is the professional body in the Maldives that regulates the profession of barristers including issuing permits, protecting rights of lawyers and ensuring lawyers are professional and the jurisdiction is run truthfully and just.

The regulation on registering law firms and legal practices published by the council states all law firms and legal practices have been required to register by September 15.
