MIRA advises to seek online services

Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has advised to seek online services as much as possible, although the authority is set to open during the new normal phase.

Speaking to PSM News, Commissioner General of Taxation Fathuhulla Jameel noted MIRA is a public office from which a large number of people seek services at the same time. Therefore, he advised to prioritise seeking online services as much as possible in order to avoid contact with people.

Highlighting a wide range of services of MIRA are made available online, Fathuhulla appealed to use the service of its mobile application or an app like QueueBee to take token numbers.

Meanwhile, MIRA has eased its tax policies to accommodate installment payments when settling off tax. MIRA has also delayed the deadline of tax payments.
