Maldives extends condolences to Pakistan following plane crash

The Maldives has extended profound condolences and sympathies to Pakistan following the plane crash that occurred near the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

In a message of condolence to Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Maldivian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid said it was with deep shock and sorrow that he received the news of the plane crash in which most passengers and crew are believed to have perished. The minister extended profound condolences and sympathies to the people and the government of Pakistan during the time of national distress. He especially extended deepest condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
