Singapore and Thailand donate medical equipment to the Maldives

Well-wishers from Singapore and Thailand have donated medical equipment to the Maldives to assist the efforts against COVID-19.

The donations arrived in the Maldives on the Maldivian cargo flight from Bangkok, Thailand. The donations include 25 test kits that could conduct 5,000 tests by Temasek Foundation of Singapore, 200 personal protective equipment (PPE) sets donated by Thai travel agent, Thitithip Thanyakulthip, who is the Consulting Manager of Maldives Travel Expert Company Limited of Thailand, and 300 additional PPE sets.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the government believes the timely donations will go a long way in complementing the efforts by the government to control and contain the community spread in the country. The ministry extended its appreciation to those who provided assistance to the Maldivian people during this challenging time.
