Gan International Airport closed at night

Addu International Airport Company (AIA) has revealed Gan International Airport will be closed at night until further notice.

AIA said the rules to enter and exit the airport have been changed as a precautionary measure against COVID-19. Under the new rules, the airport will be open from 0600 hours to 1800 hours.

AIA stated if a trip is scheduled for the night, the airport will be opened 30 hours before the check-in time and closed 30 minutes after the departure of the flight. Furthermore, AIA said despite the changes in rules, the staff can enter and leave the airport using the staff pass.

While several quarantine facilities are established across the country due to COVID-19, Dhoogas in Gan has been arranged as a facility if required to quarantine an individual in Addu City.
