More than 8000 work visas issued in February

Maldives Immigration has stated more than 8,000 expatriates were issued work visas last month.

The statistics of Maldives Immigration shows a total of 8,733 work visas were issued in February 2020, of which 8,572 visas were issued from Male' while the remaining 206 visas were issued from Immigration offices in other regions. Additionally, 759 business visas, 234 dependent visas and 71 student visas were issued last month.

Maldives Immigration stated the visas issued in February increased in comparison to January, when 8,560 visas were issued.
