COVID-19 screening adheres to WHO standards: IGMH

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has stated it screens people for COVID-19 in accordance with World Health Organisation (WHO) standards.

IGMH stated all samples collected for testing will be considered harmful to human beings and hence, all samples will be dealt with in the same manner. The hospital further stated all samples are collected, handled and tested with strict safety measures as per the WHO standard practices and protocols, adding the hospital laboratory observes them closely.

The state hospital stated it follows internationally renowned National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Health Care Provides (NABH) and National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) standards closely. IGMH further said it always prioritises the safety of the staff.
