Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi has stated Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has improved relations with the public by conducting events relevant for the public. The defence minister made the remarks addressing the ceremony held to inaugurate MNDF Commanders Conference 2020.
At the inaugural session, Minister Mariya highlighted the reforms initiated by MNDF to ensure public acceptance of the armed forces.The minister also noted the progress made in the past year as part of the Reform and Defence Doctrine launched to improve the armed forces. She said resources of MNDF were increased in line with the reform efforts.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated the MNDF Commanders Conference 2020 held under the theme Towards a Holistic Command Philosophy for MNDF. He also launched the new website of MNDF.
