Jumhooree Party (JP) has held primary elections to determine candidates representing the party in the upcoming local council elections.
JP held primary elections for Maamigili, Fenfushi and Northwest Maafannu constituencies. JP placed three ballot boxes for the primary in Male' City, 2 boxes in Maamigili and 1 box in Fenfushi. 21 candidates competed for Maamigili constituency.
This is the first time JP held a primary to award tickets.
