Chairman of Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council Lord Jonathan Marland has offered support and cooperation to the Maldives in a multitude of areas including finance, trade and investments. The support was offered during a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
During the call in President’s Office, Lord Marland applauded Maldives for rejoining the Commonwealth. President Solih and Lord Marland also discussed avenues of cooperation in developing a blue economy.
Speaking at the meeting, President Solih highlighted the close relations and support extended to Maldives through the Commonwealth partnership. He further expressed renewed commitment in strengthening ties with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council.
