A pilot programme has been launched to introduce an augmented reality application in 38 schools of Maldives.
The project is initiated by augmented reality application Hologo World, Moms NGO and Dhiraagu in association with Ministry of Education. The ministry revealed 38 schools to launch the project have now been identified, adding the project will be launched in other schools as well.
Speaking at the ceremony held to launch the project, Minister of State for Education Dr. Abdulla Rasheed said lessons will be conducted with the help of the application, highlighting the initiative will familiarise students on digital technology.
The programme will assist to move from image to 3D object-based teaching in schools.
