Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised against traveling to Kerala, India unless it is essential.
The Government of Kerala declared a state of calamity following three confirmed cases of novel coronavirus. The foreign ministry advised Maldivians to refrain from travelling to Kerala unless irrefutably necessary, until the state of calamity is released.
Furthermore, the foreign ministry asked Maldivians currently in different states of India, especially in Kerala to register the Maldives High Commission or Maldivian Consulate General in Trivandrum. The ministry advised to follow the instructions and alerts issued by relevant authorities of India.
