Parliament donates 60 computer systems to Hithadhoo School

Parliament of Maldives has donated 60 computer systems to Hithadhoo School in Addu City. The computer systems donated to the school were previously used by parliamentarians.

Principal of Hithadhoo School Aasiyath Mohamed Didi said the school management promptly made a request to the parliament as soon as the school was informed about the computer systems. She said relevant discussions were held during the recent trip by Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed to Addu City.

During the trip, the speaker inquired about the situation of the school and how the systems will be utilised by the school. The school said it needed the systems due to lack of computer systems in its computer lab, adding it would be efficient if such technical equipment can be exchanged within the government institutions.

The school added the computer lab will be upgraded in the coming days with the computer systems received from the parliament, stating some systems will also be used by school staff.
