Nominations submitted by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih as the non-resident ambassadors to Egypt and Nepal have been forwarded to Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Foreign Relations.
The president proposed Dr. Hussain Niyaz to be posted as the Non-resident Ambassador of Maldives to Egypt, and Aishath Mohamed Didi as the Non-resident Ambassador to Nepal, in accordance with Article 115 (k) of the Constitution of Maldives.
Aishath Mohamed Didi's name was proposed to replace Ahmed Saleem as the non-resident ambassador to Nepal. He is currently the Ambassador from Maldives to Pakistan.
Additionally, the decision of the administration to join international conventions was also forwarded to the parliamentary committee for review.
