Maldivians in Japan asked to register at embassy

Embassy of Maldives in Japan has advised all Maldivians currently in Japan to register at the embassy.

The embassy called for registration following the announcement of Ministry of Health of Japan confirming three cases of coronavirus found in the country. The embassy also advised to take precautions against the deadly coronavirus.

In addition, Maldivian embassies in Malaysia and India have also urged Maldivians living in or visiting the two countries to share their details with the embassies. Meanwhile, Maldivian Embassy in China are also taking steps to ensure the safety of Maldivians in the country.

Chinese health authorities announced 1,975 confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus, including 324 in critical conditions, by the end of Saturday.
