PPM to hold primary elections on February 7

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has announced the party will hold its primary for local council elections on February 7.

PPM announced the party’s primary for council elections will be held on February 7 and if required, a second round will be held on February 9.

The voter's list for the primary has also been published by PPM. The main opposition party said a final voters list will be published on January 26.

PPM said the deadline to submit candidacies for the party primary for local council elections is January 24.
