Ministry of Finance has invited sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the development of Faresmaathoda Airport in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.
The finance ministry said the bidder shall be a listed member of the National Contractors Registry. The ministry said opportunity to submit bids under the design and bid policy has been opened until February 12. Furthermore, the finance ministry noted International competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with the Public Finance Regulation of Maldives.
While USD 32,370 must be paid as bid security of the project, the ministry said a non-refundable registration fee of USD 100 must be paid to participate in bidding.
While the airport construction project has been opened for tender, reclamation of land required for the development of the airport was completed last August. A 1,200-metre-long runway is to be constructed for the domestic airport.
