Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Urmas Reinsalu.
During his visit to New Delhi to participate in the Raisina Dialogue 2020, the Maldivian foreign minister has met with several ministers from different countries who are currently in India. Minister Shahid met his counterparts from Russia and Estonia today.
In his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, Minister Shahid discussed recent developments in the bilateral relationship between the two countries in areas of fisheries, tourism and health. Further discussions were held on strengthening relations between the two countries. During the meeting with Estonian Foreign Minister Reinsalu, discussions were held on bilateral cooperation and support in the multilateral arena.
The foreign minister was accompanied by Ambassador of Maldives to India Aishath Mohamed Didi during the meetings.
